Your Made-to-Order Perfume: The First 21 Days

You can use an Arabiva made-to-order fragrance from day one. Arabiva recommends letting the closed bottle rest for at least 21 days in a cool place for the best experience. That is a recommendation, not a ban on immediate use or a promise of a measured improvement in longevity.

Check the order before assessing the scent

Confirm the product name, format and quantity. Perfume oil and spray are separate choices; oil weight in grams is not spray volume in millilitres. The Kurhah page reviewed for this guide offers 2, 50 and 200 ml sprays alongside oil weights and a tola option. Seeing both formats does not mean both are included.

Record the receipt date and selected format. If comparing with a bottle you already own, first check that names and formats match. Otherwise you may confuse a format difference with the effect of time. See our oil and spray guide for that distinction.

What does the 21-day recommendation mean?

Arabiva’s made-to-order product instructions recommend keeping the bottle closed in a cool place away from sunlight and heat for at least 21 days. This duration is Arabiva’s recommendation for these orders, not a universal scientific rule for every perfume or brand.

It is not an instruction to leave the bottle open, expose its contents to air or add anything. Keep it closed between uses and store it appropriately. If you choose to use it immediately, that is consistent with the product instructions; you can record an initial impression and revisit it later.

Choose a suitable storage place

A sheltered place indoors away from a sunny window and heat sources is a practical starting point. Diptyque’s general storage guidance also advises avoiding direct light and temperature fluctuations. That reference supports storage principles, not Arabiva’s specific 21-day duration.

Do not make a car the bottle’s permanent home or assume a bag alone guarantees protection from heat. The aim is suitable storage, not heating or chilling the fragrance to accelerate an outcome.

Make your observations useful
  1. Record fragrance name, format and trial date.
  2. Follow product directions and describe your impression in plain language.
  3. When revisiting, keep conditions reasonably comparable rather than changing quantity, setting and accompanying fragrances together.
  4. Distinguish “I enjoyed it more” from a measured claim about hours of longevity.

The sample comparison guide can help organise notes. You do not have to notice a particular change on day 21, and waiting does not guarantee that a fragrance direction will suit your taste.

When should you contact Arabiva?

If the item differs from your order or the bottle leaks, use the contact page with your order details and a description. Do not wait 21 days to report an order problem. The resting recommendation does not replace customer service. Check your listing in the fragrance collection; do not apply these instructions automatically to raw materials or diffuser oils.
